Local First Milwaukee Introduces: First Tuesdays -Educate & Elevate

Local First is committed to supporting the development of our local businesses by providing access to local business experts and resources. In this new series, we will be gathering the 1st Tuesday of the month to network, connect and learn valuable, meaningful skills and tools for your business.

We are kicking of 2020 on Tuesday, January 7th with “A Fresh Perspective” featuring Elmer Moore, Executive Director of Scale Up Milwaukee.   Elmer Moore Jr. is the executive director of Scale Up Milwaukee, an ecosystem project using Dan Isenberg’s proven model for infusing growth into an ecosystem.  Elmer came to Milwaukee from New York City as the director of business development for Allen Edmonds Corporation in 2013. He’s founder of Milwaukee Denim Co.,a manufacturer of premium apparel and accessories that embodies the grit, simplicity, and beauty of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Elmer previously led multicultural student recruitment as associate dean of admissions at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and has traveled extensively speaking and teaching on the topics of admissions, diversity and public speaking. Elmer also teaches entrepreneurship at Marquette University.

The first event is slated for 5:30pm on Tuesday, January 7th at Third Space Brewing.  Tickets are offered to Local First Milwaukee Members at $12, and guests of Local First Milwaukee at $22.  Registration is open now at:
